Spill/Flood Triage Kit

Thanks to Hayri, we now have a box of a few towels and roll of caution tape in boxes at Main 2^nd floor Reception Storage and the WSEL 2^nd floor staff room by the Ask Us Desk. There aren’t many towels, but it is enough for us to address small spills and deal with some initial flood containment.

We still want to call Hayri/facilities or after-hours maintenance (621-3000) so they can properly deal with larger flooding or anything we cannot easily address ourselves.

The dirty towels can be cleaned by placing them with the dirty laptop bags in Main A122. If we need more towels for any reason, Hayri or Rosa can give them to us.

Other flooding related FYIs (based on root causes we discovered during the last major rain):

• WSEL 1^st floor – an awning will be installed over the south, outside access point to divert rain and help prevent flooding
• WSEL west leaks – the failing rubber window seals are being addressed
• Tier 5/6 leaks – the seams were resealed
