Helping Patrons with Rooms & Spaces

Rooms & Spaces

Find info here for helping patrons with Rooms & Spaces questions specific to the Main Library 2nd Floor Lobby.
For additional Rooms & Spaces topics, click the boxes below:

Scholar's Corner

Scholar's Corner is open to current graduate students and undergraduate honors students. Their CatCards should be programmed to give them access to the door.

If studying on the patio, students using Scholar's Corner will need to take their CatCards outside with them to gain access back into the building.

If a student believes they should have access to Scholar's Corner:
  • Make a Helpline ticket on their behalf. Include:
    • Their name
    • Their NetID
    • The name of the room they are trying to access (Scholar's Corner, A220)

The Second Floor Patio

The patio door can be locked /  unlocked using the key found in the key lockbox located in the room (B258) behind the Ask Us Desk on the 2nd floor.

 Key:  #5

Lactation & Family Rooms

We have family rooms at both the Main Library and WSEL:

Family Study Room: WSEL 438

Lactation Rooms: B321, B323, WSEL 419

These rooms are available to parents and caretakers for nursing, pumping, and other childcare activities.

If a patron asks to use one of these rooms, you may give them the code for them to access the room themselves. The codes for these rooms are located in Stache.

You do not need to follow the patron to let them in the room, and it is not necessary for them to prove that they need the space for childcare activities.
