All policies and information for the Memory Lab can be found on the Wildcats Memory Lab webpage.

Reserving the Memory Lab

Memory Lab Reservations

Reserving one of the Memory Lab workstations is a two-step process:

  1. Patrons must first complete the reservation request form.
  2. Memory Lab staff review and then approve or reject the request. If the request is approved, the patron will receive an email with:
    • Directions on how to use the space
    • Link to orientation and video tutorials
    • The door code to access the room

Patrons may think they have a reservation just by submitting the request, but they need to wait for approval.

Reservation Policies

  • Patrons can make a reservation up to 48 hours in advance and cannot make a same-day reservation.
  • Patrons can reserve an individual workstation or the entire lab. If they reserve one station, 1-2 other patrons may be using the space at the same time.
  • The space is open to both UA affiliates and Community Users.

Checking for Reservations

If needed, AIS staff can login to LibCal to view the “UA Main Library – Wildcats Memory Lab” (room B302) booking calendar.

  • View the “Booking Grid and Availability” to see the three different workstations (audio, video, and scanning) as well as an option to reserve the entire lab.
  • This will show you who has reserved which workstation at what time.
  • Let the patron know they should check their email for their reservation confirmation email, which will have the reservation details and the door code in it.

Assisting with Memory Lab Questions

Directing Patron Questions

AIS will not be providing support for room access or using the equipment in this space.

Any questions about accessing the room, using this space, or troubleshooting issues should be directed to their email: LBRY-MemoryLab@arizona.edu

There is an orientation video and an FAQ for the lab, which may be helpful if patrons have general questions about this space: How to use the Wildcats Memory Lab.

There are also several public step-by-step tutorials in Box: Wildcats Memory Lab Documentation

Technology Related Issues

While AIS does not provide support for accessing the room or using the equipment, when a patron approaches the desk or contacts us via email, phone, or chat about a technology related issue, we can fill out a Helpline on their behalf.

  • Get as much information about the issue from the patron as possible, especially what station within the room they are having issues with (audio/video/photo-document).
  • Email Helpline (LBRY-Helpline@email.arizona.edu) with the information
  • CC LBRY-memorylab@arizona.edu and LBRY-AIS@email.arizona.edu
