Troubleshooting Wepa Printer Problems

Wepa Printer Not Working/Out of Ink?

Check that the issue is not listed in the other troubleshooting tabs (Out of Paper, Clearing a Jam, Kiosk Alarm). If not:

  • Send email to John Rogers at: johnrogers72@gmail.com
  • CC AIS desk staff at: lbry-ais@arizona.edu
  • Include the building-floor-location and/or the kiosk name, if known

CHANGE: For hardware and software issues staff are not able to fix we are no longer CC'ing Helpline. Please contact John and CC lbry-AIS@arizona.edu only.

Helpline is only contacted for network related issues at the request of John Rogers.

Refilling Paper Trays

1. Check WEPA Status Page or the Catprints kiosk screen for empty paper tray alerts.

2. Retrieve key from the desk key lockers (Main 2nd reception storage, inside Tech Tool Shed below the Student Kudos Board, inside WSEL Book Storage).

3. Unlock and Open the kiosk. New paper is located on the bottom shelf under the printer itself.

4. Gently pull the tray out at an upwards angle and place it on top of the printer before refilling it with paper.

5. Slide the tray back into the printer, straight on no angle.

6. Close the kiosk door and lock it. Check if the screen shows the "Ready to Print" login view.

If it doesn't, put an Out of Service sign on the printer and email John Rogers, CC LBRY-AIS@arizona.edu.

when possible.

8. Push the printer and cart back in, then close the kiosk door.

9. Tap "Map of Stations" to confirm the jam is cleared. Once the screen shows "Ready to Print", lock the kiosk.

Print Job Taking Too Long?

Have the customer try the job on another print station. The Wepa system will not double-charge the customer.

OneDrive Work Around

As of the implementation of Outlook for students, OneDrive does not properly connect to WEPA. When a patron tries to log in to OneDrive through Microsoft Outlook on the printer it will tell the patron they need Admin access. This issue is campus wide and has been escalated to campus IT.

In the meantime, the patron can:

  • Upload their items to Box and print using the Box Option
  • Upload their documents to the WEPA Print App on their own devices
  • Print from the affiliate (or public) computers
  • Or any of the other options mentioned in the Wepa Printing Methods chart above
