Libguides Editing Guidelines

Friendly URLs

Why use a friendly URL?

  • The default URLS are long and ugly. (example:  https://libguides.library.arizona.edu/c.php?g=1070534&p=7895082 )
  • A friendly URL looks better in email, chat, Slack, newsletters, or on posters and flyers.
  • A friendly URL is easy to tell someone verbally.

Use words from your title that are easy to remember.
Use the course number for a course page.
