Jacome’s Department Store Records (MS405)

Jacome's Department Store began in 1896 as La Bonanza General Store. Company founder Carlos C. Jacome was involved with the Alianza Hispano-Americana, a fraternal benefit society for Mexican-Americans. Jacome was the only person of Mexican descent selected for Arizona's constitutional convention in 1910. This collection includes material regarding the company's history, news clippings, business correspondence,  accounting and financial material. 

Ronstadt Family Collection, 1802-1993 (MS407)

A prominent pioneer family of Tucson, AZ. The collection contains family papers and material relating to the F. Ronstadt Co. hardware store. The Family Papers include biographical information, correspondence, diaries, personal notebooks, and publications. The Business Records consist of primarily financial and administrative documents.

Records of the Club Filarmónico Tucsonense, 1890-1899 (MS385)

Fred Ronstadt, born in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico in 1868, was sent to Tucson to work as an apprentice in the Dalton and Vasquez Wagon Shop. In 1889, Ronstadt and several friends formed a group which became the Club Filarmónico Tucsonense. Materials contained in the collection are the sheet music used by the Club Filarmónico Tucsonense, including original arrangements and compositions by Ronstadt, periodicals, articles, posters and playbooks for various instruments.
