The Amazon Foundation is a feminist organization that provided grants to promote progressive social change and the betterment of the lives of girls and women in Southern Arizona as well as women and girls of color, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender individuals and people with disabilities. 

Papers of Nancy Pedrick Smith Mairs, 1937 to 2001 (MS381)

Author, poet, scholar and professor Nancy Pedrick Smith Mairs, Ph.D. was known for her autobiographical work that addressed living with disability, multiple sclerosis, depression, and her Roman Catholic faith. The collection contains personal and family correspondence, family papers, photographs; educational, business, and professional papers; literary manuscripts, reviews, and collected writings.
