It's not only about capitals or known facts. I would add something like "If you are not sure if the topic that is being discussed is a common knowledge, cite it anyway". I mean, yeah, you should be governed by common sense here, yet come on, some ideas can altered or stretched pretty wildly. |

Many of these examples could have been argued both ways while others were obvious, making this a hard concept for even academia. But I appreciate the exercise. |
