The presentation will provide an overview of the data repository landscape and include an introduction to ReDATA and data curation

    • Walkthrough of how to deposit a dataset

    • Behind-the-scenes look at the data curation process

  • Part 2 – Data Curation

    • Preparing tabular data for publication

    • Preparing source code for publication


Time: 3 hours

Objectives:

a) Compare the differences between different types of data repositories (e.g. institutional, disciplinary, funder repositories, etc.)

b) Understand the basic features and benefits of ReDATA

c) Gain an understanding of how to deposit a dataset in ReDATA

d) Get a behind-the-scenes look at the data curation process

e) Learn how data and source code are prepared for publication
