George W.P. Hunt

George W.P. Hunt, 1859-1934, was an Arizona politician. He served as President of the Arizona Constitutional Convention, 1910 as well as Governor of Arizona, 1912-1919, 1923-1929, and 1931-1933.This collection contains seventy scrapbooks of news clippings from various newspapers and magazines, with a few photographs, drawings, and silhouettes of Hunt and his family and friends. Articles are about Hunt's career, Arizona's statehood, prison reform, highway construction, and development of the Colorado River.
