Teaching Tolerance
Teaching Tolerance: A Project of the Southern Poverty Law Center
The teaching tolerance organization works to spread awareness of social justice issues within U.S. schools. Their aim is to support teachers and administrators to change the school climate the one of tolerance and acceptance of different student viewpoints. They produce lesson plans and ideas to use within schools.

ThinkB4YouSpeak is a website with ideas for educators: lessons, resources and tips for addressing anti-LGBT language in the classroom.


The Chronicle of Higher Education. Diversity in Academe: Transgender on Campus
This link includes a series of publications aimed to bring awareness to the challenges faced by transgender or gender fluid students on college campuses. The articles also address the struggles colleges currently face as they try to be more inclusive campus communities.
 

The Journal of LGBT Youth
The Journal of LGBT Youth, formally the Journal of Gay & Lesbian Issues in Education is a great resource for readings on current issues surrounding LGBTQ issues in the classroom.
