Along with the resources listed on the home page of this guide, Google is a useful tool to locate both secondary as well as primary sources on your selected cultures and substance.
Search Tip (from your syllabus):
Start by trying a variety of keywords that combine the topic you're interested in (e.g., cannabis, alcohol, mushrooms, etc.) with the time period (e.g., ancient, medieval, renaissance) and the type of thing you're looking for (e.g., text, sources, primary sources, etc.). Frequently this will lead to websites or bibliographies that will tell you which ancient sources and authors might be relevant to your topic.
Use these resources to locate background information on your selected substance as well as its use in your selected cultures.
Search hint: Locate the search function in each source and look for your specific mind altering substance.
