A guide on how to adapt courses to include experiential learning and curricular engagement with CATalyst Studios

Planning your class visit

Ahead of your visit:

  • Set the date and time with the Experiential Learning Librarian
  • Notify CATalyst staff if there are specific technologies or needs that they should focus on
  • Have students will arrive at CATalyst Studios prepared to engage. This may include reviewing online training modules, installing software, having files ready to go, and reviewing any necessary information

The day of:

  • Bring any information CATalyst staff will need to support your students, such as project guidelines, funding codes, and assignment due dates
  • Arrive promptly at the scheduled time. Let CATalyst staff know if you're running late
  • Empower your students to actively participate in any discussions or activities

After your visit:

  • Send any feedback (positive or negative!) to the Experiential Learning Librarian so we can make future integration with your course as useful as possible
