Skip to Main ContentWe are testing a tool for creating text messaging-based tutorials. It's called Arist.
Arist allows us to offer tutorials that are delivered by text message to your phone.
The tutorials are split into small segments that are delivered once a day at the hour of your choice.
You will:
Here's how to start:
After you finish: Give us feedback. (We'd love to hear from you!)
Questions?
Send an email to Yvonne Mery (ymery@arizona.edu).
What is the topic of this tutorial?
This mini-course is about using the UA library to find information that will help you in your courses. You will learn how to find better sources that will lead to better research papers.
How long will it take me to finish?
The tutorial is spaced out over 6 days. You will receive a brief set of text messages each day (you can choose the time of day).
Is my information private?
Your phone number is completely private. We won't have access to it, it's only used for delivering the messages.
We will have your name and email as part of this experiment, so we can see how many people have signed up. (Our license limits the number of users we can take during an academic year).
Your answers to quiz questions will be viewed by our team as part of evaluating this tool. We are not evaluating you or your skills.
For more details about privacy, see Arist's privacy policy.
