Visiting the Library: International Baccalaureate Students

Welcome! This research guide will help you identify and locate resources for IB program projects, and offer tips on research and citing sources

Arranging your visit

International Baccalaureate group visits to the University of Arizona Libraries can be valuable when students’ projects require access to academic-level resources.

Please email Leslie Sult to request instructional support.

To ensure a successful experience, we recommend:

  • Consulting with your School Librarian or Media Specialist to determine if an academic library will fit your students’ needs.
  • Preparing students with at least one session on research strategies and sources before the visit.
  • Considering whether your students’ goals can be met through your school or public library.

Teachers planning history-focused projects may also explore opportunities to visit Special Collections for hands-on work with primary source materials.
