If you're working from a reading list for course development, using Library Search's "Search by DOI" tool is the fastest way to locate full-text materials.
If UA Libraries has access to the material, the "Search by DOI" tool will take you straight to the full article.
Benefits ✅
Saves time: no need to search by title or author, then sort through multiple records.
Avoids errors: you're guaranteed to find the correct materials.
Easy for students: EZproxy links work on and off campus.
Great for D2L and reading lists.
1. Get the DOI
If you already have the DOI, you're all set
If not, ChatGPT can quickly generate DOIs from a list of articles and authors
2. Navigate to UA Library Search
3. Find "more settings"
Click on the three ellipses
4. Select "Search by DOI, PMID"
5. Paste the DOI into the search bar
Paste only the DOI (e.g., 10.1080/07350190701738858)
6. Access the material
You'll be taken directly to the material if the UA Library has access
No need to sort through multiple records
7. Copy the link
Once you're on the material's page, copy the link.
Make sure the link includes the ezproxy prefix - this ensures seamless access for students (e.g., https://www-jstor-org.ezproxy3.library.arizona.edu/stable/20176824?seq=1)
Use our ezproxy tool to add the ezproxy prefix to the URL, making it access from off campus easier.
