The Arizona Medical Board (http://www.azmd.gov) requires that physicians earn 40 contiuing medical education (CME)credits over the two year license cycle. There are no requirements that any percentage be specifically American Medical Association (AMA) Physican's Recognition Award (PRA) Category 1 or equivalent, American Osteopathic Association (AOA), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), or American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) credits.
The Arizonal Board of Osteopathic Examiners (http://www.azdo.gov) requires that physicians earn 40 CME credits over the two year license cycle. Of these 40 credits, 12 must be American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Category 1A credits and no more than 8 hours can be category 1 Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) credits.
