English Composition Instructor Resources: Learning Outcomes

How to Approach Your Students' Big Questions and Answers

As English Composition instructors, the alignment of "big" questions derived from Wiggins & McTighe's Essential Questions with student learning outcomes guides our teaching practice. We collaborate with faculty, staff, and departments to incorporate information literacy in alignment with disciplinary program outcomes.

We have created two charts that reflect our local interpretation of the frameworks, questions, and outcomes detailed in the ACRL Framework we believe best meet our campus learning and teaching needs.
