Learn how to find images online and know when you can legally use them.
Images from the History of Medicine (IHM)
Find free images from the U.S. National Library of Medicine's "Images from the History of Medicine" digital collection.

McGraw-Hill - Access Databases
This includes AccessMedicine, AccessPediatrics, AccessPharmacy, and AccessSurgery. Once in the subject database - run a search and then click on "Images" from the left filter menu to modify your search

Find medical images, teaching cases, and clinical topics.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) Image Gallery
Find images that are free to use with credit (not intended for commercial use).
Open-i Biomedical Image Search Engine
Find open access images from PubMed Central and other biomedical image collections.
Photoshare
Find international public health and development images that are free for nonprofit and educational use.
Public Health Image Library (PHIL)
Find public health photos, illustrations, and videos, as well as download public domain images.
Wellcome Collection
Find thousands of Creative Commons-licensed images, such as historical library materials, museum objects, and contemporary photos.

EBSCOhost is implementing a new User Interface beginning August 5, 2025. If you already have an EBSCOhost account, you may need to take action to recover your custom folders:
- Saved citations or saved searches in the My Folder area will sync into the new interface.
- What does not sync into the new interface includes: Search Alerts and Journal Alerts and anything in the My Custom areas.
- If you had custom folders, you may download a list of items in those folders: EBSCO Help Page This functionality will be available until December 31, 2025.
