As a new feature in D2L, students have the option to download course materials in different formats, such as an MP3 or html file, to better suit their learning needs. Instructors will have access to reports and feedback regarding their courses with simple tips on how to improve course content accessibility.
The new feature is another tool to help increase access and inclusion. The tool does not replace alternate formats as a disability-related accommodation. Students with disabilities who need alternate formats as a reasonable accommodation can request textbooks and other academic materials be converted by connecting with the Disability Resource Center.
