Agency Decisions and Guidance

Many agencies have the power to issue opinions/decisions to enforce their regulations and adjudicate disputes that arise under them. You can usually find them on the relevant agency's website and some are available on commercial systems such as Westlaw and Lexis.

Also, many federal agencies have the power to issue guidance documents such as advisory opinions, letters, manuals, etc. to provide courts, attorneys, and the public with guidance about the agency’s interpretation/enforcement of laws and regulations and the agency's procedures. You can also usually find them on the relevant agency's website and some are available on commercial systems such as Westlaw and Lexis.

The Department of the Interior has a number of decisions and guidance documents.
