Learn about primary sources

Primary sources are original materials created by the participants at the time of the event. They may include personal narratives, oral histories, songs, diaries, newspaper articles, correspondence, images, scores, objects, and other documents.

Find primary sources

When searching catalogs such as the UA Library catalog and WorldCat, try using your topic keywords along with terms related to primary sources; e.g., interviews, archives, diaries, personal narratives, songs, cases, etc. For example: "David Bowie" and interviews.
