Mobile applications are increasingly popular and relevant to work in the health sciences. This guide highlights a number of mobile apps of interest to health sciences students, faculty, researchers and clinicians. You can also see what apps are available on our AHSL loaner iPads. If you know of a mobile app that you think would be useful to add to this guide, please send the link to me at the contact information on this page.
Remember: while many mobile apps are incredibly helpful, they should be used in context with your knowledge of evidence-based practice. Some of the apps in this guide will connect you with official sources of health sciences-related literature made available through the Arizona Health Sciences Library. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask one of the librarians assigned to your health sciences college on the AHSC campus.
We'd like to hear what apps you think are most helpful for the health sciences or, as apps are being developed and changing all the time, let us know of any updates to apps already listed. We're interested in hearing about apps on all platforms (e.g., Apple, Android). Please suggest apps by emailing us.
